Modern medical knowledge saves countless lives, yet medical knowledge could, in principle, save far more people who, today, needlessly get ill and die. This is because doctors and medical professionals already know the kind of habits, diets and lifestyles that will extend lives, preserve health and reduce the risk of debilitating illnesses. However, in order to reap the full benefit of this knowledge, optimally healthy diet/habits/lifestyles must be adhered to consistently for decades on end, preferably throughout one’s entire life. This is a feat which, in practice, most people fail to perform.
Thus, while medical knowledge saves lives through treating diseases, it falls far short of its full life-saving potential due to the difficulty of incorporating habitual healthy behaviour into our culture and social life.
A major goal of Socibuild is to seamlessly incorporate healthy lifestyles, diet and habits into the culture and values of our community, through emphasising an “ethic of good health”, to create an environment where members can effortlessly and pleasurably adhere to habits with a consistency that will add decades onto their lives and prevent debilitating health conditions afflicting them in middle age.
