Any problems that are not addressed will grow and fester. Communities can only improve by honestly facing up to the problems they have, discussing them and finding working solutions. Although tactless expressions of annoyance made by community members against one another, if conducted chaotically, can sometimes be counterproductive to a community’s well-being, it is nevertheless essential that every community has reliable and effective procedures for reporting, and addressing, genuine problems and that those who raise awareness of such issues are supported by others in the community.
